Today we made our way to Wilmington to check out a few museums and enjoy some extra "daddy time"! We looked up museums on our GPS and decided on the North Carolina Aviation Museum! Cool, right? We followed the GPS to the Wilmington Airport and to the address listed...only to find that it's a Border Patrol and Customs building, NOT the museum (which is actually in Asheboro, NC for those that care)!
So, we put our trust in the GPS once again and decided on the Wilmington Railroad Museum (which we KNOW is there). It was a great time and Will LOVED seeing all the trains. He especially loved the working model railroads and climbing around the Engine and Caboose! For those of you in the Wilmington, NC area, it's worth a trip, especially if you have little ones that like (or love!) trains.

| Ding Ding! Will ringing the bell. |

We will definitely have to check out the trains! I had no idea that Wilmington had a train museum. Have you guys been to the Children's Museum? Dan really enjoyed it, especially the "grocery store" where he could push the cart and shop.
ReplyDeleteIt's small, but a good time! There's a lot of construction going on around there, so it's a little crazy! We haven't been to the Children's Museum there, but went to the one in Raleigh and Will had a blast! That'll be next on our list. :)
