a few more pumpkin shots!

Our friend just sent us these pictures and I had to throw them on the blog for everyone to check out.  :)

Mike's Farm

Will and I ventured out with a few friends to Mike's Farm today to check out the pumpkins and enjoy the gorgeous weather.  We were supposed to go on a hayride to the pumpkin patch, but didn't realize until we got there that it didn't open until later in the afternoon.  We still had a great time walking around the "Farm" and looking at all the decorations and feeding the animals.  Hopefully we can try to get a hayride in this weekend on a day Daddy can go.  :)

A Greek Goddess, Woody (from Toy Story) and Yoda!

Last weekend we went to the first birthday party of a sweet little girl...and it was a COSTUME PARTY!  Yah!  We had a lot of fun dressing up and playing with all the kids.  I guess it was a trial run for Halloween.  :)

The Force is strong with this one.
All the kids loved Dave as Woody and told Teresa she was pretty!

Airplanes? How about Trains!

Today we made our way to Wilmington to check out a few museums and enjoy some extra "daddy time"!  We looked up museums on our GPS and decided on the North Carolina Aviation Museum!  Cool, right?  We followed the GPS to the Wilmington Airport and to the address listed...only to find that it's a Border Patrol and Customs building, NOT the museum (which is actually in Asheboro, NC for those that care)!

So, we put our trust in the GPS once again and decided on the Wilmington Railroad Museum (which we KNOW is there).  It was a great time and Will LOVED seeing all the trains.  He especially loved the working model railroads and climbing around the Engine and Caboose!  For those of you in the Wilmington, NC area, it's worth a trip, especially if you have little ones that like (or love!) trains.

ever notice...

...how pretty the inside of a cabbage is?

Cookies!

Looks thrilled, doesn't he?
So, I have to say that the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are AWESOME!  Perfectly cakelike with a hint of pumpkin.  They were super yummy (and fairly easy to make).  My adventure into letting Will help didn't go how I envisioned...it wasn't as messy because he could have cared less about what I was doing.  It's just too much fun pushing a chair around the kitchen and chasing the cat and dog around the house!  :)
Seriously Mom!  Could you
put me in my bed already?!

Mommy: "Will, do you want to take a nap?"
Will:  "Ya" and then runs to his room.  :)

Hello Fall!

I think we can officially say "Fall has arrived"!  After the rain and flooding last week, we've settled into temperatures with highs in the 60/70s and lows in the 50s!  YES!  HELLO FALL!   We welcome you with open arms and zipped up jackets!

To celebrate, Will and I are going to make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies after his nap (and a trip to the store).  We'll see how ours turn out....and how well letting a 15 month old help goes.  :)  Wish us luck!

Happy 15 Months to Will!

What a difference 15 months can make in a child's (and parent's) life!  I love you little man!
