We took full advantage of the warm weather we've had here lately and decided to go for ice cream and a trip to the playground! We drove across town to the local Coldstone only to see a line out the door! Needless to say we didn't stick around. We wandered over to the park just down the street to see it CRAWLING with kids! I guess everyone had the same ideas as us (and we thought we were being original). There was NO way we were going to play with all those kids and a 20 month old... Will would have hated it! We went back to our side of town and found an ice cream shop about 5 minutes from our house called Splendipity's Ice Cream & Treats. Luckily there weren't many people there and we were able to get in and out easily. Will and Mommy split a cup of vanilla ice cream (which was devoured in less than 2 minutes) and Daddy had a root beer float! YUM! We ventured to the park on base and had the playground to ourselves. Will had a great time exploring, climbing and sliding! We will definitely be going back soon.
