Hiking, safety and fish?

After Marbles, we went on a hike through the William B. Umstead State Park in Raleigh, NC.  Will LOVED being in the woods and had a great time riding around in his backpack (which Daddy carried, thankfully).  We saw lots of butterflies, birds and fish, along with a gorgeous view of the Reedy Creek Lake there.  We will definitely be going back soon!

After such a productive day on Saturday, we were VERY motivated on Sunday and readily cleaned out the garage!  Will was a trooper and played in his play pen while we worked diligently and got a lot done!  There were a few breaks for some silliness, including a glimpse into Will's future as a scientist!

Finally, as a reward for working so hard (it was a long weekend for the entire family), we got the fish we've been waiting for since last weekend.  We got our tank, a Fluval Chi, last weekend, so we've been preparing the water since then.  We decided on three Neon Tetra's and one Sunburst Platy.  So far, the Platy is a very feisty little guy (made sure we got a male so we didn't wake up to baby fish one morning)!  We've been talking about fish for the past week, so Will was VERY excited to bring some "ish" home with us.
