Hiking...in 95+ weather?!

It has been SO hot here lately...but we are trying to NOT let that deter us from doing the things we enjoy.  We love being outdoors and want to make sure Will enjoys it as well.  We found a few "hikes" a few hours from our house, so we tried one out recently.  We went to Jones Lake State Park near Elizabethtown, NC.  There is a 5 mile trek around one of the lakes, so we decided to try it out.  We were on our way...in 95 degree weather...and we only made it about a mile before we turned around and came back.  The heat was horrible, and we were worried about Will being overheated in the backpack.  It didn't help that there were GIGANTIC spiders that seemed to be out to get us.  We had a great time though and hope to make it to Goose Creek State Park soon.
